Good evening, church. I hope everyone has had a well-rested weekend to get geared up for Sunday School and our Worship Service tomorrow. Be in prayer for each Sunday School teacher and our pastor as they try their very best to reach the hearts of the people. We are so thankful for what God is doing for our church and are greatly looking forward to the blessings He has in store. The month of October has started out to be very busy, and we have been sowing seed out in Columbia and in Spring Hill.
Last night was First Friday's on the Square in Columbia, and a group from our church went out to pass out tracts. We were able to speak to a lot of people and pass out so many tracts. Most people were very receptive, and we are praying to see those faces again, hopefully at church.
Today was the Whole Hog Festival in Spring Hill, and we had the opportunity to pass out even more tracts and speak to many people about our church. We are all very excited for what is to come of sowing these seeds, and we are praying that through this outreach we are able to see souls saved.
Coming up on October 19th is Lawrence County Baptist Church's Youth Meeting starting at 1:00. We are trying to get the word out to as many of our young people as possible, as this meeting could very well be a turning point in their lives. All adults are welcome to join in of course. We will be meeting at our church at 12 to take the van down there. Be in prayer for this meeting and the preachers who will be preaching.
There will also be another visitation next Saturday, the 12th at 10. We hope you can make it and be part of the great things that are happening at New Life Baptist Church.
The Bible says in Matthew 9:37-38, "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into the harvest." The harvest truly is plenteous, but we've got to go out reap. There are so many people out there within our reach who are looking for what we have, so we need to share it.
I hope you all have a great evening, and we are looking forward to seeing you bright and early for Sunday School!
